I see that FS One is being offered for several different transmitters. Can these be ordinary Buddy Boxes or do they have to be a Tx with a battery in them?

FAQ for V2

  • The Tx should be self-powered. Futaba buddy boxes, which can be powered through the trainer cord, will not work, since the FS One V2 USB Interface cannot power them -- USB only has 5V DC, while Futaba buddy boxes require 9 V. No buddy boxes other than those from Futaba can be powered through the buddy cord.
  • TacCon controllers from FS One V1 are supported. They are powered through the USB cable (5 V) and do not exceed the USB current limit of 500 mA: click here.
